Bmw Unwraps the All-new Bmw 1 Series Convertible

BMW 1 Series Convertible has finally unveiled three months after the announcement that a coupe version of its small family car to build. The new BMW 1 Series Convertible is the fourth branch of the 1-series after the three-and five-door versions and the Coupe. The new 1-Series convertible has a fabric roof that opens and closes in 22 seconds at speeds up to 25 mph. In terms of engine, the BMW 1 Series Convertible are five engines available --- one diesel and four gasoline. The 120d is a 175bhp common rail diesel unit producing 258 pounds feet of torque. Meanwhile, the petrol versions include 141bhp 2. 0 liters 118i, a 168bhp 2. 0 liters 120i, a six-cylinder 215bhp 3. 0 liters 125I and a 302bhp twin-turbo six-cylinder 3. 0 liters 135i. The new BMW Convertible also has new features such as an air conditioning system derived from the 3-series convertible, which is recognized when the roof is open and changes in its convertible mode. The collapsed roof of the Convertible triggers the ventilation system is less responsive to the temperature in the refrigerator and more from the outside including the intensity of sunlight to determine the required ventilation. To increase security, two roll bars extend from behind the rear seats in a fraction of a second after sensors detect a possible change. This action will protect the occupants in case of rollovers. BMW also has a program called "Efficient Dynamics" that would ensure that all of its 1 Series Convertible are economical and environmentally friendly. Part of the program is the regenerative braking, allowing the use of an intelligent alternator and a unique type of battery that recovers energy lost from the engine especially during braking or when using the engine to slow the car. There is also a so-called stop-start technology that saves fuel by shutting off the engine, such as when the car is put to stop at traffic lights. A gearshift indicator is also available and informs the driver of the fuel most used gear. Another new feature is the new air pump handle which disconnects the pump so that only 10 percent of normal power used to drive the pump. These best thing about this pump is that it prevents fuel is wasted. And finally, all models except the 135i electronic power steering is given only when needed, unlike conventional hydraulic power steering systems, thus reducing the consumption of energy, mostly from the engine. The German automaker and producer of high quality BMW brakes, BMW AG has not yet made any announcement regarding the price of the new BMW 1 Series Convertible. There are no plans yet on when the car will reach UK showrooms.
